Cute early 50s two piece consisting of a halter sun dress and a matching cropped bolero. Very soft light pastel pink cotton with a semi-abstract circular print in blue, black and white. Sun dress style with a sweetheart neck with short ruffle trim and halter straps. Fitted waist with attached tie straps to cinch you in. Full a-line skirt. Back metal zipper fastener. Comes with a matching cropped bolero jacket with short sleeves and an open cut front which fastens with a tie to the front of the waist. Label to the neck is sadly faded, but looks like this was commercially made. Really sweet little two piece.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Waist: 27" (can be cinched in with the waist ties)
Top of bust to waist: 11.5"
Length: 37" from top of bust to hem, not including shoulder straps
(There is a 3" hem on this)
Bolero measures approx 34" around the chest but the open cut makes it slightly flexible. It measures 14.5" from shoulder to hem.
Good condition with some light general wear.
-Some light even fade to the cotton.
-Bolero has been taken in at some point and then let back out again, leaving some faint signs of ghost stitching, though this is not very noticeable when worn.
-Think the dress originally had shoulder straps, but the previous owner has taken these out at the back and made them into halter straps instead, this again is not noticeable in any way when worn.
