This one is fantastic, such a clever use of the print. Navy blue cotton with white leaf garlands, the print of these have been used to accentuate the design and cut, fitting diagonally to the bodice and flaring out from the waist to the lower part of the skirt. It's very elegant. Blousey bodice with 3/4 sleeves with turn up cuffs. High v-neck with a single button to the chest. Fitted waist with side metal zipper to fasten. Full skirt. No labels, remnants of an old label to the neck, so most likely commercially made.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a XL / volup. For your best fit please refer to the measurements. The way this is cut I would advice for slightly smaller than the measurements and to wear it belted in.
Fit on model: clipped to fit
Chest: 40" (I've taken this to the back of the bodice and double as the cut to the front is fuller due to the gathers and cut - this is a blousey design so I think this would best suit a bit smaller)
Shoulder to waist: 16.5" (the front of the bodice is bias cut so this will raise slightly when stretched out on the width so will fit shorter on the body)
Arm opening: 9.5" across flat - 19" approx in circumference
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 12.5"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15"
(There is a very short hem on this)
Good condition with some small signs of wear and alteration, see photos:
-Alterations: Has been rehemmed I think and current hem is finished with a running stitch. Shoulder seams have been altered, possibly taken up slightly, hard to say, some very faint ghost stitching by the shoulder seam. Internally it also looks like the side seams have been taken in, these seam allowances have been cut very short, so no room to let out.
-Dress has belt loops but no belt.
-One small hole to the back of the skirt, and one small repaired tear also to the back of the skirt, see photos (two photos show the same repair, up close and from further away).
