Beautiful 50s deep red velvet dress with a very New Look silhouette. Thick red velvet with a fitted sleeveless bodice and square neck. Fitted waist with internal grosgrain band with hook and eye. Full skirt sewn in two tiers, the top tier half length and finished with a scalloped hem. Fastens to the back with gold and red brocade buttons. No labels, appears handmade, but a well made piece, possibly tailored.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Good condition. A couple of tiny marks on the top tier scallops, see photos, not very obvious. Some slight creases in the velvet consistent with age.
