Very New Look era 50s party dress by Melbray. Gorgeous midnight blue colour i a shimmering metallic taffeta. The silhouette is worthy a princess, with cinched waistline and big full skirt which even has added hip padding to really enhance th curves. Bodice is fitted and has a deep scoop neckline and short sleeves. Waist has an interesting tailouring with a curving panel around the upper waist and hip, angling into a point to the centre front and continuing down the front of the skirt in a buttoned placket with big covered buttons. The skirt is sewn in lavish gathers for a fantastic full fit. It's just the most amazing piece of partywear. Dress is unlined and has a back metal zip to fasten.

CONDITION
Good condition.
-Some alterations, pretty discreet - dress has been rehemmed and hem is cut so not much to work with, and I think (as I have this in another colour) that the sleeves have been taken up from a 3/4 length to a short sleeve.
-A couple of tiny pin/pen tip sized scuffs on the front of the waist.
