Beautiful deep wine red 40s/50s princess coat in soft wool. The shade is lovely, so rich and bold. Great design with a big shawl lapel and a fitted waist. Single breasted cut with a single big black and gold shank button to the neck and a concealed popper button to the waistband, I think this most likely originally came with a belt as there is only the single button, so wears really well with a belt or sash around the wiast. Long sleeve with padded shoulders and big turn up to the cuffs. Softly skirted silhouette with sewn in pleats that open up below the hip and concealed slot pockets in the hip seams. No labels. Lined in matching coloured rayon. Not quite winter weight, but a great transitional coat for late autumn, or milder winter weather.

CONDITION
Very good condition. Presents beautifully. Most likely originally came with a belt which is missing sadly, but easily worn with a plain black or leather belt.
-Three small backed and very discreetly darned patches to the skirt, hides in the pleats, not very noticeable at all. Tiny pin hole on the edge of the lapel. Some minor minor scuffs in the wool, but nothing very noticeable. Some very very minor rubbing wear to extremities.
-Lining has some discolouration where the pockets are and some small holes.
