DARK BLUE 50s PRINCESS AUTUMN EVENING COAT WITH BOW DETAIL AND PIN TUCKS - S
Late 50s evening princess coat in navy blue. So many good details on this one! Fabric is a fine gabardine, possibly very fine wool or wool blend in a deep navy blue shade. Princess seamed bodice with a rounded shawl collar and an interesting and very decorative buttoning design with large bows with button holes sewn into one side of the bow. Long, almost dolman -esque, sleeves with buttons to the cuffs. Fitted waistline and a full skirt which is accenturated with generous horizontal pin tucks which creates movement and firmness to the bottom of the coat and makes it hang elegantly. Two small popper buttons to the skirt to hold it in place when worn over a petticoat. The back of the body features really striking horizontal tucks and a small bow to the back of the waistband. Lined in dark pink synthetic. Label is Oppenheim Collins.
Coat is pictured over a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The coat is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a modern day Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements, and remember to allow a little room for movement.
