Absolutely stunning Donegal Tweed cape coat by Jimmy Hourihan. Striking bright and bold green wool with soft gradiated stripes in blue, purple and faint browns and greys. Made in Ireland for Jimmy Hourihan of Dublin. Side buttoned shoulder and high collarless neckline with a small popper fastener to secure. Open slit arm openings with a front panel that can be belted in to give shape to the silhouette. Slot pockets to the front of the waist. Fully lined in green synthetic. Looks amazing on!
Not labeled with a size but fits approx a Medium to a Large. (as a Uk10/us6 this was a little bit large on me so I would think it would better suit a UK12-16)
Coat is 31" long.
Across shoulder: approx 16.5"
Approx 56" around the chest area, as it is a cape this measurements goes over the bust and arms and shoulders
The front panel measures approx 19" side to side, which would suggest this should suit a 38" bust well, but as the fit is fairly free, there is a little bit of give in this.
Very good vintage condition.
Would have originally come with a matching belt, but this is sadly no longer present, though easily replaced with any belt or sash.
Only thing to note is that the previous owner has written their name on the label at the neck, see photo.
