40s ART DECO BROWN AND CREAM CANDY STRIPE SOFT STRETCH JERSEY DAY DRESS - S

Slinky stretch jersey 40s dress in the sharpest caramel brown and cream candy stripe pattern. Shirtwaister style with fitted bodice that does up with three small buttons to the chest. V-neck with collar and a soft short sleeve with a shoulder pleat to the either side of the front. Waist is fitted and the skirt has sewn in gathers to the front and really lovely decorative faux pocket/peplum panels to the front hips with the stripe pattern nicely contrasted in horizontal to break up the verticals. Fullish midi skirt. Side metal zipper fastener. No labels. Great versatile little dress, very comfortable to wear.

The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Chest: 36"
Waist: 28"
Hip: 48" (best fit up to about 40-42")
Shoulder to waist: 16"
Length: 43"
(There is a 1" hem on this)

CONDITION
Good wearable condition, a little bit as is with some wear and repairs, but still wears and presents well:
-The corners of the button holes have been sewn up slightly, see photo. It is also possible that the buttons are a replacement, they look a little bit more modern to me, but nicely matched to the dress otherwise.
-Zipper has been replaced, but with an original metal vintage zipper, nicely colour matched. It has left some faint signs from the old seams along the sides, see photos.
-Some small fairly discreet marks, scattered about, see photos. There are also a couple of slight faded streaks to the lower back of the skirt and some slight streaky fade to the upper back of the bodice , see photos.
-One tiny pen tip sized darned hole to the centre back of the bodice, also shown in the photos.
