A more perfect autumn print there is not! White cotton handmade 40s two piece, dress and bolero, with a autumn leaf print in earthy tones, brown, mustard yellow, rust, orange and green. Dress has a strappy bodice, fitted waist, and full a-line skirt cut on the bias. Cropped short sleeved comes with it. Side metal zipper fastener. No labels, it looks like this was handmade.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Large. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Shoulder to waist: approx 16.5"
Bolero measures 14" from nape to hem. It has a 37" bust but is open cut.
Bicep measures 7.2" flat, 14.5" approx in circumference.
Good condition with some signs of wear:
-Some small scuffs in the weave, see photos. One small nick repaired to the edge of the shoulder strap.
-Some faint yellowing to the pits of the bolero, see photos, and a faint green mark to the skirt, also photographed. A couple of tiny specks (circled) on the placket of the bolero.
-Slight wear to the back shoulder where one of the shoulder straps attaches to the bodice.
-Outfit is handmade and as such has some hand finishes and slightly improfessional seamwork on the inside, though nothing too obvious on the outside when worn. The hem has possibly been rehemmed. It's not the neatest finish, it's been rolled and finished with a running stitch.
-Dress has belt loops but no belt.
