Pretty darn special 50s skirt with a Brazilian Carnival / musical themed print. This has everything, big eye masks, hearts, wine bottles, palm trees, high rising buildings, beaches, guitars and the most fabulous little pinup dancers. Lettering gives you names of musical themes, Canta Brasil, Estranha Melodia, Quando eu te encontrei etc. Yellow fitted waistband with popper buttons and hooks and eyes to fasten. Full circle sweep. Fabric is a glossy synthetic, possibly a rayon. Slot pockets on the hip. No makers labels, but what looks like an original owners name tag sewn in to waistband.
Skirt is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The skirt is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown
(There is a 1" hem on this)
Good condition, with some visible flaws and signs of wear, but still presents well, the fullness and busy print is quite forgiving. Please see all photos and note the following.
-Some small foxing marks, hides quite well in the print and fullness, please see last photos.
-Tiny pin hole by waistband and very small nick near the hem.
-Tiny spot of colourbleed to one of the hearts near the hem only.
-The text print and some of the sea/beaches has areas of fade, which I wonder if they are intentional as they are the same throughout, but it may be that one colour of the print was not as fadeproof as the rest of the print, specially the reds, blues, greens and yellows are all very bright.
