Fab late 40s dress in a fine loose woven almost mesh like fabric in navy blue with a lovely almost op art -esque white fanning flower print. Dress has a v-neck and short sleeves. Interesting gathered detail to the neck/shoulder with small pearly shank buttons to adorn. Waist is firmly elasticated internally and fastens to the side seam with a metal zipper. Gently flared skirt with pairs of pleats sewn down to the hip on either side at the front. No labels. Very elegant little dress, great print and love the period shoulder detail.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a M-L approx, sizing is a little bit flexible due to the slightly draped bust and the elasticted waist. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: clipped to fit.
Chest: 40-42" (best fit a little bit smaller)
Waist: 24" stretches to 32" (this fits best a bit stretched out, I'm a 26" waist and this was too big for me, so would advice for around a 30" waist and up to 32" if you want a very tight fit)
Shoulder to natural waist: 18"
Sleeve to shoulder: 15"
Very good condition. A slight bit of print fade to the cuffs and some tiny spots of wear in the fabric, but nothing very noticeable when worn.
