Fab early 60s dress which is still in keeping with the 50s silhouette and style. Lots of fun details - check out that strappy cut out neck design and little back tie! Waistline nips in and the skirt is swooshy and full. Back metal zipper fastener. Fabric feels like a synthetic blend, possibly some cotton with polyester. Lovely print of blocks of colour in purple, teal, green and blue as well as floral patterns. Label is Henley Jr, New York.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Medium, approx UK10-12. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Shoulder to waist: 16"
(There is a 2.5" hem on this)
Good condition, presents nicely, but has some slight flaws that aren't immediately noticeable when worn:
-Hem has been taken up at some point and let back down, leaving a faint fade line approx 1.5" up. The original hem is still there, so dress could be let down a further 1.2" if needed.
-One small area of pinkish discolouration to the skirt, see photo.
-There are some handstitching to a couple of places to the back of the cut out ladder design over the bust, which aren't visible when worn.
-Very slight signs of pilling to the fabric near the underarms and some faint discolouration to the armpits.
-Dress has belt loops but no belt.
