Early 60s autumn dress - could it get more seasonally perfect! - in brown and white fine check cotton with cross stitched autumn leaf and acorn pattern in a border design to the hem, around the cuffs and in a big centrepieces design to the back of the bodice. Dress is a shirtwaister style with three small buttons to the chest and handstitched button holes. Collared v-neck. Half sleeves with buttoned cuffs. Fitted waist and full skirt. Handmade piece, no labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat and a belt neither of which are included in the sale.

The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small., and bodice is slightly short waisted so would best suit a petite person. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.

CONDITION
Good condition, very wearable. Some things to note:
-As this is handmade the construction is a little bit imperfect in places, the pleats to the skirt aren't all perfectly even, nothing too noticeable, specially when worn with a belt. Some signs of alterations: hem has been let down and the two small darts to the bodice have been added. I also think it is possible the centre seam to the skirt is also an alteration as it is sewn over the cross stitch pattern, but very hard to say as it is a handmade piece to begin with and internal seams are done in a few different colours, so may have be constructed this way. None of this is particularly noticeable when worn, mostly just when scrutinizing closely and internally.
-There are some small scuffs and a tiny fray hole to the side seam of the bodice, see photos, and a few tinier scuffs to the lower back of the bodice, but these aren't very noticeable.
