Dark floral 50s dress in a deep grey with hints of petroleum blue and a dramatic bright orange rose print to contrast. Fitted bodice with a high square neck and 3/4 sleeve. Front of bust has a faux placket design with two small corrugated buttons to the waist. Waistline is nipped in and in classic style the skirt is very full, sewn in inch wide pleats to the waistband. Back metal zipper to fasten.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is labeled a size 36 but fits approx like a Small, I would estimate for a UK8. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: please note this does not zip up the back of the bust on the model, so refer to the measurements rather than perceived fit in the photos.
Chest: 35" (best fit slightly smaller)
Waist: tight 26"
Shoulder to waist: 15.5"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15"
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 11"
(There is a 2" hem on this)
Good condition, very wearable, with some flaws to note:
-Slight seam straining to the front bodice darts, see photo.
-One small worn area to the shoulder, which has been backed in matching fabric, see photo. And a small rust mark with slight fraying to the other shoulder. I suspect both of these from incorrect hanger storage.
Please see photos. Still looks absolutely smashing on, and priced to reflect condition.
