Late 50s / early 60s cotton romper in soft honey beige with a slightly speckled brown pattern and romantic little rust orange, turquoise and green roses. Fitted bust with small petal flap, sweetheart cut with small gathered seam to the centre. Side shirring and boned bust with lightly padded but not wired lining. Thin straps which button on to the back so could be worn in halter style if desired. Gently skims the waist and finishes in a short short. Light cotton. Nylon lining to the body from bust down. Metal zipper to fasten the back.
The romper is labeled a size 14/36, but fits approx like a modern day Small, but please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown
Chest: 34" but might fit slightly smaller more comfortably
Waist: 29" stretches to approx 30"
Length: 36" approx from top of bust to gusset
Good condition. Underbust elastic has lost a bit of it's stretch. Gusset is clean.
NB. You need fold the zipper pull down to stop to lock the zipper and keep it from slipping down. This is not a flaw - it works perfectly and was made like this - but it's easy to miss and just wanted to note it as it will slip down unless you pull it all the way up and flip the zipper pull down flat against the zipper.
