Amazingly detailed 50s Mexican tourist jacket in deep green wool felt fabric. Beautifully intricate applique work with a large couple to the back, with embroidered faces and colourful clothing with embroidered, tassled and sequinned destails. The front and cuffs has smaller appliques of flower baskets, cactus and guitars. Two small patch pockets to the front. Long sleeves with padded shoulder. Trims stitched in red and beige/cream. Open cut front and collared neck. Unlined. Label is Berty.
The jacket is labeled with a size 36, but fits approx a general size Small. Please refer to the measurements for your best fit.
Chest: 36" approx but would fit smaller too
15" shoulder to shoulder
Sleeve 18" from underarm to cuff
-Some discreet signs of wear to the finishes, the odd popped stitch and missing sequin, but nothing very noticeable when worn. I've resewn and replaced (with original vintage sequins) a couple of the sequins to the MEXICO lettering at the back, as the thread was coming loose. Some of the sequins are a little bit crumpled/damaged with age, but again, this is not very noticeable when worn.
-Two tiny pin holes to the shoulder.
