Great little 50s staple dress in slightly weightier cotton in a warm yellowy brown colour. Nice features with a ribbon trimmed band around the neckline with a button design in front and a matching design around the hem of the skirt which a ruched tier to the sides and back. Fitted bodice with short sleeves and high square neck. Waistline nips in and the skirt is full, sewn in small gathers to the waistband. Side metal zipper to fasten. No labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Medium, I would estimate for a large UK12 or a small waisted UK14, the 50s fit is very hard to covert into modern sizes. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Chest: 42" (best fit a little bit smaller)
Shoulder to waist: 14.5"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15.5"
(There is a 4" hem on this)
Looks like this has been taken up by about an inch, but the original generous hem is still uncut so could be let down. Two tiny pen tip sized marks by the bottom of the zipper, shown in photos.
