This is such a little quirky piece. Handmade black cotton novelty skirt with such a brilliant print - took me a while to clock it - but it looks like it is traditional British pub signs. We have the Crown and Anchor, The Ship Inn, The Huntsman, the Black Swan, The Rose and Crown, Ye Olde Red Lion, etc. Black cotton with print in red, white, yellow and green. Skirt has a high fitted waistband with a back metal zipper fastener and a button to the back. Full fit. Approx 50s era. I love this one so much! Such a great print.
Pictured with a petticoat and black belt which is not included in the sale.
Not labeled with a size but fits approx a UK8 or a 26" waist. Please refer to the measurements.
Length: 28.5" (2" hem)
Good condition with some slight flaws to note:
-Light even fade to the cotton. The black is not inky black, it's a little bit subdued.
-One small machine darned repair to the back of the waistband.
-Skirt is handmade so some of the finishes have a slightly handmade nature. The hem is finished with handsewn stitches, which are a little bit messy in places, but this can't be seen on the outside when worn.
