Fantastic Mode O'Day 50s shirtwaister in an almost luminous olive shade with a tiny Mid Century Modernist utensils print in black and cream. Bodice fastens to the front with three tiny black buttons and has a collared v-neck. 3/4 sleeve with buttoned cuffs and shoulder pads. Back of bodice has three box pleats to the centre to give a bit of ease to the fit. Waistline is fitted and fastens with a hook and eye with an open slit to the front of the skirt, which hides under the folds when worn. The skirt is very full and swishy. Fabric feels like a acetate or viscose, nice and crisp with a soft shimmer/sheen to it, looks lovely when the light catches it.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Large. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Chest: 43" (meant to fit a little bit blousey, so would best fit a little bit smaller)
Shoulder to waist: 17"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 17"
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 13"
(There is a 2" hem on this)
Very good condition. No visible flaws when worn. The only thing to note is a small repair on the inside of the dress by the side of the slit below the waistband, see photo. When worn this can't be seen.
