Late 40s / early 50s cotton day dress in a really lovely pale blue, beige and cold purple check print. Bias cut with the pattern matched up to the centre seam in a chevron style. Fitted bodice with collared v-neck and 3/4 dolman sleeve. Nice pleating to the shoulder seam which gives a bit of drape to the bust. Fitted waist and generous a-line full skirt with big sweep and midi length. side metal zipper to fasten. No labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model:
Chest: approx 34" (bodice is sewn with vertical pleats from the shoulder seam, giving the front of the bodice a little bit of fullness, which makes it hard to measure)
Shoulder to waist: 17"
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 14.5"
Length: 48.5" on hanger (bodice and skirt are bias cut so will fit a slight bit shorter when worn as the stretch on the width)
(There is a 1.5" hem on this)
Very good condition. Dress has belt loops but no belt.
