Lovely little cotton day dress in a rich chestnut brown brushstroke print with large white silhouetted stemmed roses. Fitted bodice with a high rounded collarless neckline and sleeveless fit. Waist is nipped in and comes with a matching tie belt. Skirt is sewn in small neat pleats around the waistband giving it a generous fullness, perfect for adding a petticoat under. Back metal zipper fastening. No labels but does look commercially made. Approx late 50s era, or possibly very early 60s.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Chest: 36" (best fit slightly smaller as cotton has no stretch)
Shoulder to waist: 15"
(There is a 1" hem on this)
Very good condition. The tie belt has some small handstitches along the seam where it looks like some stitches had popped, but this would not be noticeable when worn.
