Very cute late 30s or early 40s novelty 2 piece blouse and skirt set / lightweight summer suit. Fabric is a coarse woven cotton in a soft off-cream colour with a yellow, red, blue and green print of flower carts, flowers salesmen and ladies carrying flower baskets all framed with little bunches of flowers. The blouse / jacket is short sleeved and has a high collarless rounded neck and six small white flowers shaped plastic buttons to the chest. It has a softly fitted cut and reaches to the top of the hip. The blouse could be worn both ways, I think the buttoning might be intended to go at the back, but it looks cute the front way around too. Skirt is a gently a-lined shape with two sewn in pleats to either side at the front and back. It fastens to the side seam with some small popper buttons and two hooks and eyes to the waistband. No labels, both pieces looks to have been handmade.
The outfit is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Medium, but please refer to the measurements.
Chest: 38" (best fit slightly smaller)
15" shoulder to shoulder

Good condition with some wear.
-The button holes on the blouse are handsewn and show some light wear.
-The buttons look like a replacement, but would be easy to replace if you prefered new old ones.
-Slight fraying/wear to the decorative v-seams to the back shoulder of the blouse.
