50s day dress in a semi-abstract print of green leaves and a gridwork band in shades of gray on white cotton. Piping to neck and cuffs in light turquoise. Bodice is sleeveless with a high collarless rounded neck. Waist nips in and the skirt falls in gathers from the waistband giving it a lovely airy fullness. It has two front patch pockets. Back metal zipper fastener. No labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Medium. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Shoulder to waist: 16"
(There is a 1" hem on this)
Good condition with some minor flaws and repairs:
-Some slight fade and abrasion to the blue piping, most so to the neckline. There is also a bit more fade to the bodice than there is to the skirt.
-Some very faint underarm yellowing (has been washed and treated with vanish, but some very faint traces remains, though I don't think these would be noticeable when worn, see photo.
-Some repairs to the corners of the pockets, shown in last photo. These are patched at the back and a little bit untidy on close examination, but not too obvious when worn, though I would avoid stuffing the pockets with heavy objects to avoid more pressure on these.
