This is so beautiful, gorgeously tailored high end late 50s dress by Frank Usher, made for a beautiful quality cotton with a soft rib texture and a dramatic bushy feather or leaf print in red on white. Fitted or dare I say sculpted, drop waisted bodice with princess seamed bust with small additional darts. Low cut scoop neck and back and decorative mother of pearl buttons to the chest, the placket has been sewn down, so these are merely decorative. Drop waisted cut, finishes on the hip with a lavishly full skirt sewn in neat gathers below. This has such a great cut with a softly raised front and lower train back. Back metal zipper to fasten. Bodice is lined, skirt unlined. Small interal hip cotton gauze pads to enhance silhouette - Mid Century fashion engineering at it's finest. This is soooo good.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
