Very smart 40s jacket by Beverly's, Santa Monica. A slightly wounded bird, but with such a killer design. Beautiful rich deep green colour with an unusual asymmetric buttoning with three slightly slanted buttons to the neck and three matching buttons to the lower waist. Long sleeves with padded shoulders. Sharp pointed collar. Slot pockets on the hip. Lined in an olive toned rayon style fabric.
The jacket is not labeled with a size but fits approx a Small. Please refer to the measurements for your best fit and please note that you may need to leave a little bit of room for movement depending on desired fit.
Chest: 36" (best fit at least a couple of inches smaller. I'm a 35" chest/32DD and this was pretty snug.)
Waist: 15" (Same as above, best fit around 27-28" I would estimate)
16" from shoulder to shoulder
Sleeve: 23" from shoulder to cuff
Sleeve: 16." from underarm to cuff
Wearable condition if you don't mind your vintage a little bit thrashed, and obviously priced accordingly, this is a bit of a wounded bird, but too good to not give some more life to. Please note the following:
-There is fade to the shoulders and down the sleeves, see photos.
-There is one small scuff/beginnings of a hole to the back shoulder.
-Buttons have been replaced.
-Lining is quite worn around the shoulder areas mainly and fabric is a bit brittle there, specially just where sleeve and shoulder meet. There are two bias binding strengthening repairs to the shoulder seams, see photos, so wearable as is, but long term you would most likely want to re-line. Some areas of seam straining to the lining at the waist.
