Handmade 50s style cotton sun dress in a crisp white, orange and green floral print cotton. Lovely cut with a long band to accentuate the underbust with a bow in front. Thin spaghetti straps. Waistline nips in and the skirt is full circle, great swishy volume, that looks perfect with a petticoat underneath. Vintage back nylon zipper. No labels. As it is a handmade piece, it's hard to date perfectly. It's definitely made to a 50s pattern, but I'm fairly certain it is not original 50s, but can't say for certain when it was made, zipper is nylon, but doesn't look contemporary, so possibly 80?

Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a XS. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.

Waist: tight 25"

(There is a short hem on this, can not be let down)

CONDITION
Handmade dress and as such has some finishes that aren't factory perfect. The straps are finished with a running stitch across them and the hem is also finished with two running stitches. I also think the hem is very very slightly uneven, this might be intentional as it is slightly longer to the sides and about an inch shorter to the centre front, possibly for allow for it to sit right over a petticoat. I think it's slight enough not to detract when worn. Straps are handsewn in at the inside of the neck and looks like they may have been adjusted at some point.
