Beautiful heavier woven cotton day dress by Jonathan Logan, early to mid 50s era. Beautiful dusky light blue, grey and black wide striped pattern. Bodice is cut on the bias with a chevron design to the back and a gathered overlapping wrap front. Short dolman sleeve. Collarless v-neck. Firmly cinched in waistband and full skirt sewn in narrow gathers. Side metal zip to fasten. Unlined.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like an XS. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown
Chest: 36" (fabric is thick, so I would advice for smaller, maybe best for around 32-33")
Underbust: 32-33"
Waist: 25" to 26" stretched
Hip: free
Shoulder to natural waist: 17" on hanger, but this stretches on the bias so would fit more like 15.5" when actually worn.
Skirt length from waist: 23.5"
Length: 40.5" (will most likely fit shorter as the bodice stretches on the bias)
(There is a short hem on this)
CONDITION
Good condition.
-Hem has been let down leaving a faint crease line where the old fold was. It's most likely been altered prior to this as would have originally been longer.
-Small damage on the back of the skirt above the hem, has been patched inside.
-Light fade to cotton, nothing major and all even, but blacks are a little bit off-black in shade.
