Red and white candy stripe early 60s bikini, Italian made by Confezioni Dean, still unworn with original tags. Bra is underwire design with a U cup which curves up between the breasts, I love this style, such a great shape! Small bow between the cups and little scalloped lace trim along the top edge. Thin halter straps. Back fastens with small hook and has a section of elastic to either side of the clasp. Bra cup is lined with synthetic. Matching low rise pants with v-shaped lace trimmed ruffle to front. Waist and leg cuffs elasticated. Side seams are shirred for a snug fit. Pants are lined in thin white cotton.
The bikini is labeled a size 4.
Pants would fit approx a Small, but elastic gives them some flexibility.
The bust /cup I would estimate to a 34D or possibly a 36C as underbust band has a bit of stretch, but please refer to the measurements and ideally compare to a wired bra/swimtop that suits you well. Please note sizing is an estimation only!
Fit on model: as shown, cup size is a smidge too big on a 32D/34C so would advice for a cup size up unless you want to wear with padding, underbust band fit me comfortably as a 30" underbust, but had a little bit of extra room due to the elastic, so may be best for a little bit larger.
Chest: approx 32-34" but there is fullness in the cup so additional room
Underbust: 29" to approx 33" max stretched
Underwire measure 11.5" from around the U from edge to edge. Cup measures 7.5" across the centre seam when expanded.
Length from top of bust to underbust: approx 6"
Low Waist (sits on your upper hip a couple of inches below belly button: 22" unstretched, stretches to approx 34" max
Hip: 30" unstretched to approx 38" max stretched (best fit somewhere inbetween)
Rise from gusset seam: 9" unstretched to 12" stretched
Very good condition. New with tags. Please note as these had been in storage, I have untagged to wash and iron them, but they are unworn. The cups are lined with a very very slight thin padding lining, which feels like it has dried very slightly, but it's still wearable as is, this is really quite slight and not at all visible when worn.
