Crisp white cotton 50s day dress in a semi-abstract oval atomic print in bands of yellow and blue with black lines. Empire bustline with a collared neck and three decorative buttons to the chest placket. This fastens underneath with three concealed popper fastener. Small gathers to the underbust seam for fullness. Short sleeves. Wide nipped in waistline with a dropped waistband. Skirt is full and falls in neat pleats to the sides and a has a flat central panel in front. Side metal zipper fastener. Dress appears to have been handmade.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small, I would estimate a UK8. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Waist: 26.5" to a tight 27"
Dropped waist: 29.5"
Shoulder to waist: approx 14.5"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14.5"
Very good condition. The only thing I can note is, that as a handmade dress, some of the finishes are a little bit handmade in nature and not factory perfect. The buttoning is a slight bit off centre compared to the darts and front panel of the skirt. And hem has been finished with a running stitch. All in all not very noticeable, in fact when worn, I don't think you can really tell.
