Striking light blue rayon 40s dress by Dubarry. Great colour and a beautiful pale green clear sequin and blue glass bead embellishment to the neckline in shape of a bow. Back of neck features to loops and covered buttons and the dress has short dolman shaped sleeves. Fitted waist with darts to the bodice and side seam fastened with and early concealed zip. Straight cut skirt and sweep peplum hip, which trails down the back into a pointed tip above the hem. Such a fun elegant piece, love the colour, adore the playful embellishment and a peplum speaks for itself!

CONDITION
Good condition.
-Structurally very sound but does have some slight uneven fade/colour discrepencies - some streaks to the skirt and shoulders/upper bodice is slightly paler than the skirt and peplum in hue. Label is tinged blue so I'm wondering if this has been dyed at some point, but the colour seem to match the thread and the beadwork, so not sure. There are some small darker colour spots, very faint in a couple of places, shown in photos, and there is also some faint underarm discolouration and slight wear to the pit area.
-One small thread pull line in the fabric at the back of the skirt (this sits under the peplum so doesn't really show) and a small pin hole on the front of the skirt, and a tiny pin scuff on the edge of the peplum hem.
-One of the button loops on the back of the neck has been repaired.
-Hem has been altered and is handsewn. I think, going by other Dubarry's that I've had that this would have originally been floor length.
Priced to reflect, still a smashing dress.
