Really gorgeous 50s dress by Martha Manning "Misses" range. Nice formal cut, governess style, in a warm reddish brown and black synthetic. Fitted bodice with 3/4 dolman sleeve and a lovely pointed collar trimmed in black velvet piping to the neck. Row of decorative buttons down the centre of the chest. Fitted waistband with black velvet piping trim. Full skirt with small gathers over the hip and a wide central front curtain pleat. Back metal zipper to fasten. Fairly lightweight and unlined. Beautiful design, so elegant, and I love the slightly gothic touch of the black velvet.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

Chest: 38" (but this would best fit at least 2-3" smaller as the fabric has no give and the dolman sleeve makes the measurement seam more generous than it fits, would advice for 33-35")
