Very unusual handmade 50s party dress in a light grey crochet with silver toned satin ribbons running through it. Must have taken ages to crochet with the fine detail! Fitted bodice with short sleeve and a wide rounded neckline. Waist hugs the silhoeutte in and the skirt is a generous full sweep backed with a stiffening interfacing that holds the shape beautifully, specially when worn over a petticoat too. In addition to this it has a light silky feel grey fabric throughout, so not see through. Grosgrain satin band internally to waist. Long side metal zipper to fasten. Label is Sybil Connolly, Dublin. It's just exquisite and such craftmanship.

CONDITION
Good to VG condition.
-Some slight wear and minor discolouration to the ribbons, nothing noticeable. Bottom ribbon looks like it may have been replaced, it is slightly different from the rest.
-Slight bit of wear to crochet where hook and eye is at side seam at waist.
-One small area of slight yellowing to the fabric under the crochet, see photo.
