Gorgeous early 50s blue gridwork plaid-check light cotton dress by Ellen Kaye. The pattern and fabric placement on this is genious, really utilising the print to enhance the silhouette. Bodice is fitted and has diagonal underbust darts and a pretty straight cut neck with peaked sleeve cuffs and slit shoulders - these could be worn pointed out or folded up in a shoulder cuff. Waist is fitted and the skirt is sewn in straight panels alternated with large triangular insets, creating a fun flippy full silhouette. Midi length. Back metal zip to fasten. Perfect all year rounder dress.
