Serving drama, this handmade heavy corduroy prom dress with soft historical tailoring and bold red colour. Bodice is snugly fitted and boned, the cord is layered into with the boning sewn between so quite corsetting. Beautiful ruffled neckline with deep scoop neck and slightly elasticated ruffled shoulder straps, which can be worn on or off the shoulder. Fitted v-seamed princess waist and full maxi skirt, close to full circle, with a weighty ruffled tier to the hemline. Back nylon zipper to fasten. Not sure of era, maybe late 70s to 80s. Reminds me of 80s era Laura Ashley. It's also very much in the style of the flirty historical costume drama of contemporary labels like Selkie.

The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a M-L, fabric is quite thick so probably best fit slightly smaller than measurements given, but bodice is boned so has a slightly corsetting effect. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.

CONDITION
Very good condition. Dress is handmade so some of the finishes are a little bit handmade in nature, some small handstitches visible on the ruffle and a little bit of fraying to the internal seams of the neck ruffle, which have not been overlocked on the reverse.
