Glamourous two tone black and white 50s evening dress in lustrous creamy white satin, thick and soft as a feather with a lovely soft sheen to it. This is contrasted with a black velvet to the collar and diagonally across the skirt in a starry floral pattern. Bodice is fitted and sleeves with a darted waistline and a dipped princess waist seam with small point in front. Skirt is sewn in gathers over the hip and flares out into a generous sweep. Back metal zipper to fasten. No labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Good condition. Slighty wounded but still presents beautifully and priced to reflect.
-Some signs of alerations. Hem has been taken up and is handsewn. The velvet collar has had some tiny tucks sewn in to make it slightly shorter and layered.
-There are some small marks to the white satin, see photos, most either tiny or quite slight but there are two slightly more visible discolourations spots on the back of the skirt. There is also a faint line of pale discolouration, more visible on the inside, and ony faint on the outside, which looks like it had maybe a band or something added there or maybe stored with some paper which left a faint trace? I've taken a lot of photos to give an idea, so please check th whole gallery. The satin sheen is quite forgiving, so when worn, I think a lot of this wouldn't actually detract. I've handcleaned the dress and these have all lightened substantially.
-Slight thread pull/linear wear in the satin on the back of the bodice.
-There is the faintest bit of bleed to the neckline seam, but this is faint and very localised and when worn is underneath the collar, so not visible.
