Bold deep red wool coat with black faux astrakhan collar and cuffs, Very elegant fitted silhouette with gently flared hem and a back dramatically sewn in multiple gored panels. Single breasted cut with six chunky red shank buttons to fasten. Big rounded collar and strong padded shoulder. Long sleeve with big turn up to the cuff and black trim. Slot pockets on the hip. Generous midi length. No labels. Looks quite 40s, but I think this is late 50s/early 60s era.

CONDITION
Very good condition.
-Slight bit of wear to to a couple of the button holes.
-May have had some alterations. The buttons have been moved which makes it hard to say if they are original or not. I was also suspecting that may have been relined and possibly rehemmed, as both lining and hem are handsewn and I presume it is a manufactured coat, rather than a tailor made one but it is very hard to say for sure.
-Some discreet repairs to a three of the button hole corners.
