Fantastic late 40s novelty print cotton dress in red and white with small cityscape print designs in modernist style. Bodice with short sleeves and a short v-neck slit in front. Small ruching stitches to the shoulders. Keyhole slit to the back which fastens with three tiny buttons. Fitted waist and wrap around skirt with waterfall drape design to the open side. Side metal zipper to fasten. Matching belt with covered buckle. No labels, possibly handmade.

The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like an XS. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown, but a bit snug to get into
Chest: 36" (but this is very snug to get into due to the side zip, so I would advice for 32" to 34" bust max
Underbust: 31"
Waist: 25"
Hip: 41"
Shoulder to natural waist: 16.5"

CONDITION
Good condition with some wear and repair. The v-neck in front is possibly an alteration, though this isn't really noticeable when worn, looking at the inside a small bias band has been added to the bottom of the interfacing on the back to give this structure. The gathered stitches to the shoulders have come undone slightly, this doesn't really effect wear. Some very faint yellowing to the inside of the collar at the back mainly, I've given this a soak in vanish and it has cleared up nicely so what remains is not noticeable or detracts when worn. Belt and belt buckle shows some light wear consistent with age, some small little frays to the covered buckle.
