Stunning 50s Mexican wool jacket in a vivid red with a really fantastic applique and embroidery hand work, a large lady and man in traditional dress on the back beautifully detailed with long braided 3D braids to the hair and real yarn fringing to the mans blanket coat and hat tie. Small sequins to the flowers. Cuffs, placket and collar all finished with yarn cross stitching. The silhouette on this one is really special, one of the best I've seen with strong puffed and padded shoulders, and a gentle a-line flare to the coat itself. Open front, not fasteners, and a collared neck. No labels.
SIZE
The jacket is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown
Chest: approx 36" (best fit smaller, ideal for 32-34" I would estimate)
Waist: 38"
Hip: approx 42-44"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14.5" (but has a strong puff sleeve so can fit slightly wider)
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 17"
Length: 27.5"
CONDITION
Good condition. Some small signs of wear. A few small little marks, see photos, and what looks like a number faintly drawn under the arm. One tiny darn to the side seam, not noticeable when worn and two tiny pin holes. All in all still presents beautifully,
