Soft silky bias cut late 40s dress by Leslie Fay. Slightly glossy silky fabric in a soft yellowy cream colour with a linear brushed print in black with streaks of purple, petrol blue and mauve lines running through it. Bias cut shirt bodice with four black buttons to the chest. V-neck with small shoulder pleats. Half sleeve with gathered stitches on the cuff, adorned with a little bow. Fitted waistband. Full skirt, sewn in four panels on the bias. Handy concealed slot pockets in the side seam, which we all LOVE! Side metal zipper to fasten.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown

Waist: 27" to 28" stretched (bias fabric gives this a little bit of give)
Hip: free
Shoulder to waist: 16"
Sleeve from underarm to cuff: 9"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 15.5"
Length: 42"
(There is a 3.5" hem on this)
CONDITION
Very good condition. Missing the original belt. Has been rehemmed but original hem is uncut so could be restored. Slight markings/discolouration to the inside of the collar, one tiny tiny yellow speck by the v-neck, which pretty much hides in the pattern, and some very very faint yellowing to the sleeve/shoulder fabric, not very noticeable, but you can see the slight difference when holding the hem of the skirt to the sleeve. However I think this is slight enough not to detract when worn. I've not had this dry cleaned, so may improve with cleaning. Priced to reflect. Please see photos.
