Lovely handmade early 50s spring/summer dress in a white and green checked cotton with small pink flowers. Beautiful silhouette with a fitted bodice with high square neck and puffed princess sleeves. Sweet white cotton lace trims to neck and cuffs with black velvet ribbon trims. Nipped in waistline and a folky full skirt in three tiers, each trimmed with a small scalloped band of cotton lace ribbon. Botton tier is sewn in small gathers giving it a ruffle effect. Side metal zipper to fasten. No labels.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like an XS-Small. Side zip is quite short so I would err on the side of caution with the measurements and allow a little bit of room for movement. Sleeve cuffs are very snug. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown
Chest: 36" (best fit a little bit smaller, would advice for 32-34")
Underbust: 32"
Waist: 27"
Hip: upper hip up to 40"
Shoulder to natural waist: 15"
Cuffs are tight fitting: approx 5" flat across, so about 10" in cirumference

(There is a just under 2.5" hem on this)
CONDITION
Good condition.
-Dress is handmade with some things to note on construction, the waistband running stitch seam is a little bit uneven in places, nothing very noticeable. Lace has been handsewn on and the fabric underneath is not overlocked, just cut, but doesn't show much fraying. None of this shows when worn. One very faint tiny mark near the hem, not visible with the vivid print.
