Handmade 50s novelty skirt in a thicker woven cotton with a amazing painterly scenic print of what looks like a historical ball or courtship scene with a crinolined lady and gent decending a stairwell in a landscape of soft flowers and buildings in the distance. Soft blue brushstrokes contrasted with really vibrant yellow, pink and red and green. High fitted waistband with button and snap to fasten. Sewn in several panels with gathers to the waistband for a soft full fit. No labels, definitely handmade.
Skirt is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Good condition with some wear and alteration. Has been rehemmed with a bias band. Very very slight line where the old hem were in places, but this is hard to see when worn due to the busy print. A couple of small colour runs, but again these hides well in the print. Handmade piece so some of the finishes aren't factory perfect, but nothing very noticeable when worn.
