Sweet handmade late 30s / early 40s dress in the most vibrant lime green colour with small black polka dots. Fitted bodice with ruching to the centre bust and six small decorative velvet covered buttons to the chest. Bodice has a middy style collar trimmed in a velvet ribbon and a velvet trimmed neckline. Short puffed sleeves with quite strong padded shoulders and turn up cuffs. Fitted waist which fastens with popper button to a narrow slit in the side seam. Skirt has a tier to the upper hip, with small gathered stitches and three shorter horizontal pleats around the hem. No labels, appears to have been handmade. Fabric feels like a soft brushed rayon, the texture is very similar to cotton.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a XS-S, looks good worn a little bit loose fitting and as the side seam fastening is quite narrow, this would probably best fit someone a little bit smaller than the measurements for ease of dressing. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Shoulder to waist:
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14"
(There is a 2.5" hem on this)
Very good condition.
-A tiny faint rust spot on the collar and one similar spot to the lower part of the skirt
