Lovely late 40s / early 50s cotton sun dress by Lee Wentley. Really lovely printed cotton in white with a grey and rust orange painterly check with big yellow and green flowers. Halter bodice with a sweet white broderie anglaise pointed collar. Four small black buttons to the chest. Fitted waistband with a small slit to the side seam which fastens with a single popper button. Full a-line skirt with two centre pleats to the front for soft draping and deep slot pockets to the sides of the hip with small white broderie anglaise cotton trim.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like an XS. Side opening is quite narrow, so I would err on the side of caution with the measurements. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: as shown, bust was tight, so would advice for smaller than myself
Shoulder to waist: approx 14.5"
Shoulder to hem: approx 44.5"
Skirt length: 30"
(There is a short hem on this)
Very good condition. Possibly original came with a belt which is no longer present. Slight yellowing to the underside of the collar, not visible when worn.
