40s Toile de Jouy print blue white dress in the lightest gauze cotton. The print is stunning, with so much detail of what looks like Dutch historical landscape scenes with boats, bridges and buildings, birds and dogs and leafy foliage and large people in traditional dress enjoying the landscape. Dress has a snugly fitted waist with side metal zipper to fasten and a blousey bodice with loads of little ball buttons and loops to fasten the front. Short dolman sleeve with white turn up cuff. Matching white peter pan collar. Full skirt with generous midi length. No labels. Fabric is very very light, so not a hard-wearing day dress.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.
