Stunning deep red 40s coat with a dramatic contrast astrakhan collar and huge fur trimmed buttons. Nice period features with strong padded shoulders and pin tuck gathers to the shoulders. Waistline is darted for a fitted silhouette and coat flares out gently towards the hem. Fully lined in darker red rayon. Single lined only so not very warm, but works well for warmer winter weather or as a transitional coat for autumn/late autumn. No makers labels but a National Recovery Board tag to side seam of lining. This is just such a stunning piece, beautifully cut and the colour is just fantastic.

CONDITION
Good condition. Presents really nicely and lining is intact and strong. Some small signs of wear. A few tiny darns scattered about, not very noticeable, some very minor spots where the wool weave is a little worn, not quite holes, just minor wear. Light rubbing wear to extremities. Some minor minor balding spots to the inside of the fur neck and to a couple of the buttons, but these are all small and discreet, I would say not really visible when worn.
