These are such a vintage classic. 40s culotte shorts with a super high waist and pleating with a full leg, giving the appearance almost of a short skirt when worn. Probably intended for sports. Fabric is, I think, a fine wool gabardine, not itchy, very soft. Side metal zip to fasten and two very old popper buttons to the waistband. Neatly top stitched pleating to the upper hip and a full leg cuff which sits approx mid thigh. Slot pocket in the side seam. Not lined.

The culottes are not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Small, approx UK10. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model:
Waist: 27.5" to 28" taut
Hip: appox 40" (might best suit slightly smaller to keep pleating neat)
Rise: 18"
Inner leg length: 3.5"
Cuff width: 46" so these are nice and roomy
Length from waist to hem: 19"
CONDITION
Good condition. There are a couple of tiny little scuffs in the wool, see photo, and some faint smudges and tiny specks near the hem, also shown. The colour on the popper buttons is a little bit worn.
