Slinkiest black rayon jersey 40s robe dress by Joan Carol. Black with fantastic bold red and chartreuse colourblock stripe in a chevron to the bust and vertically down the sides of the hip of the skirt. Fitted bodice with short sleeve and padded shoulder and a collarless v-neck. Front fastens with a metal zip. Waist is fitted and has belt loops but no belt. Skirt is a sweeping maxi length with an elegant a-line flare. Most likely originally a hostess/lounge gown, but this is so good it easily wears as an evening piece in the modern day! So silky and hugging!
