Absolutely amazing piece and such a fun design. 40s plaid capelet / waistcoat by Vancouver label Suzanne of British Columbia. Rich dark green, chestnut brown, red and white fine wool plaid. Front is a waistcoat with a deep neck and two small brown buttons to the chest and a neat little collar. The back is a striking cape design with a soft fine fringing around the hem. A slim band buttons to the sides and fastens to the back of the waist to hold it in place. Lined in a light golden beige rayon satin. So fun to style - both in a 40s fashion, but also wears really well with a moder contemporary eclectic Westwood fashion. I love it!
SIZE
The jacket is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a S-M. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
Fit on model: the waist strap has been clipped a the back
Chest: approx 15" across the front, but back is completely open, would advice for a 34-36" approx but quite flexible due to the design.
Waist: 29" approx but would be easy to alter as it is just a strap going round the back
Length: 18.5" to longest tip in front and 16.5 nape to hem at the back.
CONDITION
Good condition. Little bit of wear and repair under the side buttons and one of the side buttons is very very slightly mismatched, but I doubt you would notice this when worn. Some small handstitches to the lining and one small area of fraying to the lining, under one of the side buttons and slightly along the edge of one of the slits, fairly minor, please see photos, none of this shows when worn.
