Light and silky handmade day dress in a yellow brown and greeny-grey print of small floral / atomic design squares. Blousey bodice with a seam diagonally over the bust with small pleats and a high collarless v-neck. Three small buttons to the chest. 3/4 fitted sleeve with a lightly padded shoulder. Fitted waist with side metal zipper and belt loops but sadly missing the original belt. Very gently a-lined midi skirt with a asymmetric pleat detail on the hip. No labels. Fabric feels like a viscose or acetate. Hard to date as it is a handmade piece, but I would think maybe early 50s, however the style is very much still that of a late 40s tea dress.
SIZE
The dress is not labeled with a size but fits approx like a Medium, I would estimate, please note the sizing on this is a little bit hard to estimate, as the waist and bust is quite generous but the sleeves are quite fitted, so I think it is meant to be worn slightly loosely and cinched in with a belt. The pleated bust seam to the bodice also sits above the bust when worn, so this is best fitting a bit loosely and probably best suited for a less full bustline. For your best fit please refer to the measurements.
