Beautiful strappy 50s sun dress or party dress in a romantic purple and pink rose print on crisp white cotton. Bodice is boned and has thin purple shoulder straps which very elegantly curves under the bust and finishes in a tie bow. Bustline has some flattering gathers sewn in to the sides of the purple band. Waistline is cinched in and the skirt is a striking full silhouette which is lined with a white canvas-cotton petticoat. Back metal zipper to fasten. Bodice is lined.
I was speculating as to whether this was a Horrockses or Horrockses fabric, I've come across this print before in Horrockses, see screenshot for one example. This dress however does not have any labels except a small size tag next to zip.
Dress is pictured with a petticoat which is not included in the sale.

CONDITION
Very good condition.
-Some discreet altarations. Hem has been taken up at some point and restored back down leaving the slightest crease line at the old fold. And the straps at the back has been shortened slightly, but has the excess left so could be let out by 0.5" or so.
-One of the bones in the bodice has been replaced though this doesn't show or detract.
